I purchased this item after having and unusually nasty nose bleed that had to be treated in a hospital ER. Blood pressure was the culprit. This device takes three readings every time you check your blood pressure and averages the results. It displays heart rate and has an indicator to show any irregular heart beat. It also stores the results for later review. A month later I had a heart attack. I was debating wether to go to the hospital. I took three readings on this machine within 30 minutes. The results showed my BP was all over the chart and extremely high, my heart rate was near 100 and each check showed an irregular heart beat. That convinced me to go to the ER and very possibly saved my life. I highly recommend this device for anyone who needs to keep an eye on their blood pressure. Very easy to use, compact, and has everything necessary.

I looked at, and read about, several before buying this unit. It is also sold under private names (CVS, for example) It is everything promised. The software that came with mine wouldn’t load onto Vista but a call to the company resulted in a prompt respopnse with a new version.

This seems to work fine. It’s a hassle to switch between recording measurements for two users. You can’t take a measurement for a visitor without having to record it for one of the two users. Although I had updated the software online, I never could get it to work on Windows Vista. I did get it to work on Windows XP, not counting that it crashes maybe 1 out of 3 times that I use it. I just restart the program. It has a nice variety of charts that print so-so. The software could use a rewrite; I don’t consider it user friendly. Would I buy it again? Probably, since I don’t recall seeing many machines that can save to your computer and it got decent reviews on Consumer Reports. Would I recommend it to a friend? Not whole-heartedly until they improve the software.

Although this product came with outdated software for the computer, customer service people at Microlife helped me download the new software. That allows you to print your readings. It is nice to be able to take a read out to the doctor’s office. We are very pleased with the product. It works well, and the size is perfect. It is easy to use once you familiarize yourself with the product and how it works. We are very happy with our purchase.
